Reviews for Dutch Cottage
Just returned home from the most perfect relaxing week away in Horning with our Son & Daughter in law. Like many, we had not visited since 2019, so it was finally nice to return, visiting lots of old & new premises in & around Horning & the Broads, was nice to see some familiar & new face in local shops & cafes.
We booked our stay through Riverside Rentals as we had in the past, the team there have always given us a warm & friendly welcome each time we return. This time we tried the Dutch Cottage in Horning, after being told by the team it had been fully renovated and improved new specially for this season.
Well what more can we say, we arrived early evening after a long drive, as we entered through the gates we were amazed to find out we had such a large private garden with views to the main river, there was plenty of car parking space for both vehicles and fully secured off the road. As we had never stayed here before we couldn’t comment on the difference of the improvements, but nerveless, we were very pleased with facilities in the cottage, (we ate out each night) so didn’t use the cooking facilities, but was all very nice, everything had a newness about it and was spotless, the furniture and beds were comfy, but what we loved the most was the patio from the living room, which both over looked the large private mooring basin which sat directly on the main river, it felt like we had our our private miniature broad, absolutely breath taking each time we looked out, we spent much of our time on the patio just relaxing watching the boats and world go by & waving to the passengers on the paddle boat, and just simply enjoying all the privacy we had, but still being in the heart of it all, it was truly relaxing.
We hired a day boat and was fun taking it back to the cottage and mooring it up to collect our picnic which we later enjoyed at a place called Salhouse Broad. My husband is now eager to return as when we arrived, the fishing season was sadly closed, so we will definitely be returning during the fishing season to enjoy, hopefully soon.
I cannot highly recommend Riverside Rentals enough, from the point of booking and receiving regular updates prior to our arrival. thankyou once again for helping us find this delightful cottage.
