Reviews for Heron Cottage

6 May 2022

We had a lovely relaxing stay in this delightful cottage situated in an idyllic location overlooking the river Bure. The property exceeded our expectations it was immaculate throughout decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The attention to detail was exceptional. We have stayed in many different properties over the years and we both agreed that Heron cottage was one of the best that we have had the pleasure to stay in. We hired the picnic boat which is conveniently attached to the property on its own private jetty and this lovely boat was also immaculate and superbly fitted out. The owners Gail and Ken a lovely couple gave us a warm and friendly welcome and did the handover of the boat explaining everything in detail giving us the confidence to venture out exploring beautiful Broadland. We enjoyed mud weighting in various quiet scenic locations sharing our lunch with the swans also being able to come and go each day as we pleased. Perfect! We would highly recommend this delightful gem of a cottage and we will definitely return and hope to visit again soon.
