Marsh harriers, otters, heron and kingfishers have all been seen from here.

Completely rebuilt in 2006, this beautiful iconic thatch property on the banks of the river Bure in Horning at the end of the main stretch in Horning will not disappoint. Plenty of space for families to get together and get involved with a large open plan lounge/kitchen & dining area, with lots of garden space and mooring if you want to truly experience the Broads and hire a dayboat too.

Reviews for Ferry View

29 July 2026

Have just returned from a week at Ferry View and what can I say except simply stunning—the location, the view, the fishing, it was all wonderful.

Stayed here with all my family, my parents and the dog. Not once did we feel on top of each other. The open plan is spacious with an extremely well-equipped kitchen.

The veranda was by far our most-used spot, watching the world go by and spotting all the wildlife. We were lucky enough to have resident herons, kingfishers daily and even spotted an otter late one evening.

Fishing was also good; everyone who fished caught, which is always a good thing!

Decent driveway—we had four cars and still had lots of room.

Would we return? Absolutely!!!
