Three reasons you should choose a waterfront property for your Norfolk holiday

Harnser MainFrom its rolling fields and lush woodlands, to its reed-lined waterways and beautiful broads (lakes), the landscapes of Norfolk are lovely to behold. It can be tricky, in fact, to decide where you’d like to stay when you visit the county – in one of the villages or towns, or on the bank of one of the rivers or beside one of the broads. Well, we’re rather partial to waterfront properties and many of our self-catering cottages have views of a river and gardens, and allow easy access to the water’s edge for fishing or boating.

The views

This one’s rather obvious, but how could you not adore those spectacular views across the Broadland landscape? Imagine waking up to the sun rising over the water, watching it set behind waving rushes and spending your days lounging beside a waterway watching the passing boats; even on the most miserable days of weather, the Broads are beautiful.

The convenience

If you’re holidaying on the Broads, the chances are you’re hoping to take advantage of the water in some way – perhaps you long to fish, have dreamed about boating, or simply wish to ramble along the water’s edge. Staying in a waterfront property will help you to realise any such dreams.

Stay and play

There’s something rather magical about waving to boats from your holiday home’s garden, feeding ducks straight from your breakfast table and being able to enjoy the wonderful wildlife while taking it easy. Staying in a waterfront property will allow you to do all of these things and so much more; it’s your own slice of Norfolk paradise. So, there you have it. Why should you have to travel to the Broads from your accommodation, when you could stay amongst the waterways in your own waterfront cottage? Please feel free to browse all of our properties to find the right one for your family. We look forward to hosting you in 2016.
