Stayed for one week in August 2019Good location on riverside, ideal for fishingFirst impression generally clean if some what worn, bed linen and towels very good quality.fridge and kettle had not been cleaned for sometime very dirty The outside could and should have been cleaner windows dirty, old dirty furniture outsideParking limited due to a fleet of vans and staff cars taking up a lot of the car parkHowever all in we would stay again
A lovely little 1 bedroom place right on the river where you can sit and watch life go by... and there's plenty of that. Wildlife, boats, fish and people. we were blessed with the weather as it was absolutely gorgeous all week. Would have liked to find info on Wi-Fi, but found it eventually. Other info was only found on day 5 tucked underneath the cutlery tray in the kitchen draw. A file in full view would be far better. Would have made finding out where to switch the shower on a lot easier. The booking also stressed the need to take own towels etc but not necessary as they were supplied. Clothes hanging space considerably restricted due to wooden shelf 'thing' in it. Holiday was seriously enhanced by the couple next door, Nick and Mary, and we had a whale of a time including on a large day boat we hired. A great holiday in a terrific little, well maintained and comfortable place.
Just had a week in the Cavell. When we arrived it was spotlessly clean. Everything was available. Excellent cottage right on the river front. We had an enjoyable week fishing although the weather was a bit disappointing. Can recommend most definitely. We will be going again Thank you
Stayed here for a week from 11/06/16 and found it satisfied all our needs. The accommodation was spotless when we moved in and, importantly, everything worked. We enjoyed feeding the Egyptian Geese, swans and Heron (who we named Harry). If you meet Harry he will come to within a few feet of you, but he does like fish as opposed to bread. Duck and swan feed is available from various places in Wroxham but the angling suppliers, round the corner from The George will supply frozen (bait) fish. Please thaw them out before feeding Harry. Being this close to the water meant there was always something to look at while having a cup of coffee outside yet the absence of motor traffic made it also very quiet. The Boat Shed, about 50 yards away, made for a convenient, friendly watering hole and the village was only a 10 minute stoll away with Roy's supermarket, Roy's toy shop, Roy's DIY, Roy's department store (could this place be also called Roystown?) providing all our needs. If you feel the urge to buy a 2nd hand car or fill up with petrol, a few minutes drive towards Norwich will find you at Roy's petrol station and Roy's used car showroom. Norwich is a pleasant city and a fairly short bus ride away with a good market. There were plenty of things to keep us occupied from pubs and restaurants to renting a day boat or visiting other parts of the Broads. The joining instructions were clear and the house was easy to find. Our only grouse was that the documentation stated that there were no towels or tea towels when in fact there were. Perhaps what we should have been told was that there was neither an ironing board nor an iron. The former is much harder to take on holiday than a few towels, perhaps the owner might like to rectify this for the future
We stayed here for the week commencing 19th October. What a delightful, clean and warm cottage in a lovely position on the Broads. Just right for a nice fishing session if into fishing, if not then you can just relax and watch boats cruise along water way or stroll into the shopping area. We found bus service very good into Norwich. Twin beds but that was ok with us.
Ideal location, well equipped, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. You don't need a car to enjoy this property as train station/bus services are nearby. Good shopping, boat hire/trips and wide selection of eateries all within 10 minutes walk. Good location for exploring further afield or just sit and watch the world go by. Highly recommended.
This is a lovely property for 2. Nice and warm for winter months. Quite and restful time to relax and enjoy. Easy to get to shops near by. A place to relax and look outside and appreciate the bird life.
What a beautiful quirky place. Superb location, very clean well equipped. Ideal for a romantic break. Plenty to do without doing anything unless you want to. We just sat & watched the world go by.
