Excellent cottage, lovely location and a nice big tree for shade. Would definitely stay again
We had a great time at Bittern. The location was lovely- quiet and with a good sized garden which had the sun from morning to late evening-.Fishing was slow but enjoyable in the peaceful surroundings. There was quite a lot of weed in the dyke which didn't help .The property was clean and beds were comfy. We would certainly visit again.
Lovely cottage, right next to the broad, loads of nature, swans, herons, ducks all right there. Lovely lawn with nice lawn chairs to sit on and enjoy. Rooms in cottage are all lovely. Wifi is good, smart tv, big rain shower. Bedrooms upstairs and downstairs.
Comfortable Property Accessed via a Wooden Walkway. Spacious Cottage Ideal for Less Able with Facilities down stairs.Furniture comfortable but low for less mobile and older visitors.Lovely setting just off main waterway. Ducks and Swans regular visitors. Ideally situated amongst the trees for easy access to all Horning has to offer.Surronded by pleasant walks and pubs.
Many thanks for advising me of my deposit refund, you asked for some feedback regarding Bittern, well what can I say, what a wonderful place ,so clean and tidy and such a beautiful setting, the beds were all extremely comfortable everything you could possibly need to prepare and cook a meal was there in the kitchen except the food, clean well laid out bathrooms there were only two problems one the heating which Richard managed to resolve; Many Thanks , the other being the settees which I found to be rather low its more to do with my age and disabilities so as the property is not advertised as being for disabled people its not really a problem more a preference. This really is a little jewel and we will probably return in the near future.
Kindest regards to you all
Bittern is in a quiet location just of the main river Bure just grate for relaxing about. It's nice to hire a day boat to travel along the river Bure and to watch the diffrent wildlife so exciting and restful Bittern is a lovely place to stay very nice and clean. It is close to the small village of Horning which is nice to get a drink from one of three pubs and not far from Wroxham enjoyed our stay ther fery mutch looking forward to the next time.
Bittern is in a great position with easy access to the River Bure but giving just a little privacy from all the passing water traffic. We BBQd all but one evening and enjoyed our breakfasts in the garden every day.
The visiting wildlife made our week even more enjoyable from the Egyptian geese, almost hand tame herons, a moorhen and even a muntjac deer on the opposite bank one morning. The only downside was not being able to get the cars right up to Bittern for unloading and loading but a trolley made the trips easier.
We hired a day boat for the duration of our stay and this allowed us to further explore the Bure and areas of The Broads we had not been to before.
The house is in a great position with easy access to the River Bure but giving just a little privacy from all the passing water traffic. We BBQd all but one evening and enjoyed our breakfasts in the garden every day. Watching and feeding the visiting herons, Egyptian geese, ducks, moorhen and even a muntjac deer one morning made the holiday all the more enjoyable.
The only downside was not having our cars on the door step but having hired the Rambler day boat for the duration of our stay, we had easy access to explore areas of the Broads we had not previously been to.
We had a fab time while staying at Bittern. Spacious home, comfortable beds and great location.Peaceful and relaxing. Kids loved the visits by ducks, geese, heron and swans! Lots to do in the area and not too far from the beach. Highly recommend a visit.
Lovely property in quiet area. Perfect for relaxing and fishing. Will recommend to family and friends.
