Just had a week in Woodstock, second time we have stayed here. It has all you require as a home from home. Boat hire from James @ Maycraft next door is the cheapest you'll get. Woodstock is comfortable and spacious with plenty of room for great fishing onto the river. The bus stop to Gt Yarmouth is just outside Lathams shop that will cater for all your needs. (except rock!). If you look out of the kitchen door or the back gate at dusk you may see the Barn Owl in the adjacent field, and the thousands of Crows returning to roost on the power lines in the distance is a sight to behold. Lovely place.
We had a lovely relaxing break and I beat my Broads fish record twice, some lovely Bream using the tip on the notice board. We hired a day boat and just had a great time looking round the area, good for walking the Dog as well. We had a couple of minor problems on arrival and they came straight out and put them right in a friendly manner so I cannot recommend highly enough.
First morning back home from a lovely fortnight in Woodstock. Fishing was great with pike bream roach perch with some great tips on the notice board. The cottage itself was clean, can't fault the heating and just all round comfortable.great position for the broads and the coast.I would recommend you hire a day launch as is stated its a bit of a walk. This is our 3rd holiday with Riverside Rentals and we've never had any complaints. Thanks Claire and co.
Have just returned from a relaxing and tranquil holiday in Woodstock. The cottage was clean and well presented. The fishing was good caught 11 bream 3 perch. We hired the 'dory' as the walk to the cottage with luggage took about 10mins and to tour the Hinkling Broad. Would recommend the property to anyone. Thanks to Russell and his good lady.
We have had a fantastic time these past 2 weeks, love it here SO very much thank you for everything. Would definitely like to book up and stay here again.
The cottage was clean and peaceful, down side there is no slipway and no microwave, cottage was booked early because of it's slipway.
Have just returned from a most relaxing holiday. The cottage was clean and had all the mod cons. The fishing was good catching mostly bream any roach. The walk to the cottage took about 10mins but that is the price you pay. For peace and tranquility. Would recommend the property to anyone.

First stay on the Thurne, usuially on the Bure, must say this was the best October break EVER! Lots of places locally to visit (Thrigby Wildlife park was supuerb) Breakfast as Ludham Bridge is good. Fishing was excellent, bit worried before arrival due to th sale incursion a couple of weeks ago but the fish had returned in good numbers. Best catch on feeder/maggot/caster was 30lb net of skimmers/roach/perch . Even caught my first Ruffe EVER! Cosy cottage, good local food - PERFECT!!!
