Riversmead Cottage – Holiday Cottage in Horning
Riversmead Cottage is one of the oldest cottages in Horning with fabulous views of the river from panoramic windows all along the front of the property.Book Online
Riversmead Cottage was completely rebuilt in 2011 on the site of the former Petersfield Cottage, previously one of the oldest cottages in Horning. The owners left no expense spared when they redesigned Riversmead.
Riversmead has expansive windowed frontage that almost overhangs the river and makes you feel that you are literally on the water. Additionally, there is substantial decking which will allow everyone to fish the main river or just relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
A boat shed provides plenty of storage for equipment, plus the possibility to rent a boat to fish or for pleasure cruising.
To the rear of the property is a large lagoon which is a haven for all sorts of wildlife, including otters, and is wonderfully peaceful. And if you weren’t relaxed enough then take advantage of the amazing roll topped bath.
Riversmead Cottage is a wonderful place to spend your holidays and we know you won’t be disappointed.

Just back from a week staying in the fabulous cottage. We were four adults and all agreed this was by far the best cottage we have stayed in anywhere. The size, the spec, the location were all second to none. The parking was not an issue at all which I thought it might be from reading other reviews. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic property. Views of the river and wild life amazing. We stayed here end Feb 2016 for my husbands birthday as he loves his fishing, he caught loads and was very happy with his large pike he caught. Only downside would be with two elderly people in their 80s was the walk from the car to the house.
Would definitely stay again
We loved this cottage. 7 adults had a very comfortable stay with plenty of space for everyone. Loved fishing from the deck and touring the broads in the Rambler day boat. Instructions for the cooker/DVD would still be a good addition as some of our party got a little stressed trying to work those out, but all in all we had a fantastic stay!
This property is fab loved our stay. Just a few this wrong no instructions for the cooker & could not get grill or DVD to work. Had an electric black out and tyres to sort but didn't realise another electric box in utility. Possibly good idea to include a detailed manual of these things. Other than that we loved the house and the view out the living/dining area was great. Beware crazy goose ha ha Thank you for our stay xxxx
We enjoyed a lovely week in this spacious and very well presented property. Make sure you take basic cleaning / kitchen materials with you eg bin bags, scourers, toilet rolls etc and no 'starter pack' is provided. A great spot especially sitting on the decking by the river watching the boats go by - a nice and very short walk into Horning village provides basic supplies and places to eat / drink. Cottage very warm, clean, and quite luxurious. Would recommend.
What a fantastic cottage in a great location.the owners have given lots of thought to providing a home from home experience and they also run the new inn pub just a short walk away !! the fishing is also great fun with plenty of roach, skimmer bream and pike to be caught from the decking.we both look forward to returning in the near future.many thanks.
Just come back from a few days at Riversmead after booking it as a last minute short break. Loved it. We have stayed in a number of cottages along the Bure in horning over the years and this one is right up there with the very best. Would have no hesitation in coming back again sometime.
We recently took a short break stay at Riversmead and trying to put into words how much the owners have done to make this luxury cottage "a must to return" speak for itself . The location is superb the luxury within you feel when you enter. We shall certainly return and recommend to others.
