Stayed at Restawhile for a week from 16th June 2018 and it certainly lives up to it's name. We had a gloriously peaceful week passing the time by watching and waving to the boats going by while reading our books on the grass or eating our meals at the table on the decking. It was the perfect holiday for unwinding, relaxing and doing next to nothing and such a lovely, cozy little cottage. A big thanks to the owners for making it so home from home. Would highly recommend Restawhile to anyone wishing to get away from it all for a while. Perfect.
aA snug bungalow all areas work well ee phone service and good tv reception although I hardly watched fishing and watching goings on on the river shame its not on the other side of p h bridge less boat travic too affect the fishing

What a brilliant place, we have just come home and wished we could have stayed longer. Bungalow was so home from home, extremely clean and comfortable The garden and fishing was so relaxing. The dingy dyke was a haven for small fish, ducks and loads of swans. I totally recommend for a peaceful relaxing holiday
We wanted a peaceful, comfortable cottage on the riverbank where we could celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Restawhile was perfect. Outdoors a pleasant lawned area where we could relax on the waters edge sharing lunch with the feathered locals whilst the owners have provided a well planned, well equipped interior which is a credit to them. The cottage was also ideally located for us to re-visit the area which holds so many happy memories. We should also like to commend the administration at Riverside Rentals. Our thanks to everyone involved. A brilliant holiday.
My partner and I stayed at Restawhile over the August Bank Holiday weekend along with our 10 year old son,and we loved it!!.Although the accomodation is compact and this was indicated to us at the time of booking we thought it was just perfect for us - it is cosy , comfortable and very well equipped. We loved the small conservatory/extended porch as there is plenty of space to put all of your coats , boots & shoes , fishing equipment , umbrella's etc and of course it's also somewhere to sit on a rainy day and still have the view of the river. We were however lucky with the weather and even used the parasol on the picnic bench ,another thoughtful touch by the owners - and oh the ceiling fan was also very welcome in the lounge as it got very warm inside in the evenings.Everything has been thought about by the owners , and all credit to them - it was clean and tidy and welcoming. The fishing was good and the garden is just the right size and private as you are not overlooked on either side which felt quite nice aswell. One very small suggestion (and this is not at all a critisism in any way) a footrest along the bottom of the breakfast bar would be nice !
Well a big Thank You to Riverside Rentals,For a faultless holiday,From booking till departure,The cottage itself had all that was required for a pleasant stay,If you fish then do so from 7pm till 3am, As the Bream swim in the centre of the river,Boat traffic has gone, Ground bait and brown crumb cage feeder with worm and tipped with a maggot, Day time down the edge,Chopped worm or maggot, Gets Perch/Roach/Skimmers, As for Pike next time,Depth of river is 2.4/2.5 meters. Will be back, Loved it.
Stayed at Restawhile Oct 4-10 2014. Bungalow very clean inside and out very well equipped is a credit to its owners. Spent many hours out on the deck reading and watching boats going by.did have problem with door lock.but this was dealt with very well by Richard & co at riverside rentals. If it's peace and quiet your after this is the place to be. E.G opened front doors Sunday morning all i could hear was birdsong. looking forward to revisiting in near future.
