This bungalow continues to delight and after four stays here it is just as perfect as ever. Very clean and well cared for on every visit. It is in the perfect spot for peace and tranquility with a lovely view, great dog walks and ideal for safe family boating.
'Lovely accommodation well equipped lovely position. The best we have stayed at'
Just returned home after an amazing week at Fishers Haven with hubby, two kids (23) and (20) plus sons girlfriend also (20). Perfect setting on the rivers edge and great for fishing as not too many boats sailing past. The property has a 'tardis' feel, well planned and great for 5 adults, garden is great for breakfast in the sun, sun bathing, reading, fishing and BBQ's. Lots of wildlife, sadly no kingfisher this time, enjoyed visits from the resident ducks and barn owl, can't wait to return.
Fishers Haven was really nice. It is deceptively large inside, well equipped and very comfortable. The tea and coffee sachets are a nice touch too. The garden was large enough for three of us to feeder fish comfortably and also have pike rods out too if we wanted. It was also nice to have the shed to put gear in at night to keep it dry. Despite each of us having man flu at some point during the week we still managed to catch plenty. Mainly skimmer bream during the day, with the odd larger fish to 4/5lbs at night. We did limited pike fishing but still had six lovely conditioned fish to 16lbs. Very few boats meant the fishing was undisturbed and very peaceful. All the usual wildlife was around, with Kingfishers being particularly active. Highly recommended for those on a budget wanting a really peaceful week of good fishing.
First time to Potter Heigham and a great stay. We needed a week to chill and recharge our batteries and this fitted the bill nicely. All facilities were provided and the house was spotless and a great centre for exploring. Fishing was good, especially for Bream and Pike, and all available from your back lawn. Dog enjoyed time too. It is a trek from the bridge so would suggest a boat or Carp barrow for your belongings. So good have booked for next year already and looking to hire a boat, thanks.
Thank you for great week at Fishers Haven which has been refurbished to a very high standard by the owners. The bungalow had everything you needed including wifi connection to make it feel like home. The large river frontage was excellent for fishing and every day there were plenty of fish to be caught. Mainly I fished in the mornings and evening using a variety of baits. Maggots would give bites anytime of the day with fish from very small to some nice bream and roach . If you wanted a bit more of a larger stamp of fish then sweetcorn was the bait with fewer bites. And at night bread would be good for the bream in the dark with fish from 2 pound upwards. Hiring a boat was a good idea for taking us back and forward to the car and also to explore the broads around. Plenty of wild life to be seen,we did see the otter but was too quick for us to get the camera out. All in all we had a great holiday and cant wait to be back in September.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week here in May. A perfect location for a Coot Club adventure with dinghies ,kayaks, children and a dog! All of us loved this lovely house in the reeds. Access by boat or a 20 minute footpath walk added hugely to the special feel this lovely chalet has. A perfect week.
